Wind Transmitter First Class Advanced & Wind Direction Transmitter
Sky Power International proudly supplied Thies Clima Wind Transmitter “First Class” Advanced anemometers and Wind Direction “First Class’ Transmitters for this project. These instruments are vital for acquiring accurate wind velocity and direction data. Our wind transmitter excels in high turbulence intensity environments, with minimal overspeeding and a low starting threshold. With compliance to IEC 61400-12-1, and an accuracy class of 0.5, it’s engineered for the highest standards in meteorology, environmental measurement, and wind power assessment.
The transmitter outputs digital signals to data loggers and process control systems, enabling real-time monitoring. It is equipped with electronically regulated heating to ensure smooth operation even in winter conditions, preventing icing of the shaft and bearings.
SunZia Project Impact
The SunZia Wind project developed by Pattern Energy Group will generate over 3,500 MW of clean, renewable energy in New Mexico, while the SunZia Transmission line will span 550 miles, delivering up to 3,000 MW of energy to Arizona. This $8 billion project not only advances the renewable energy sector but also creates opportunity for economic development across the region.
